About Viva Talent
Viva Talent connects US companies with Executive Assistants and Recruiting Coordinators and opens meaningful, career-defining work for talented people across Latin America and South Africa. We're a globally distributed team of 240+ people across 16+ countries and 3 continents, on a mission to expand real opportunity for women in LatAm.
Why this role exists
Viva’s gearing up for its next growth phase. We need you to build our marketing function from the ground up and improve/accelerate the sustainable pipeline of qualified buyers that drives more revenue.
This is a build-and-lead seat: you’ll set the strategy, get it moving yourself, then hire and coach the team that runs it. If getting into the weeds makes you excited, this is your seat. If being a player-coach does not excite you, or being the player until you hire the team to coach, this is not the role for you.
What you’ll do
Two numbers you'll be measured on: Inbound calls booked and Inbound closed-won deals.
Define and lead marketing strategy. Decide where we place our next bets and where we don’t: focus, channel mix, budget allocation, quarterly rocks. ← This is the 1st problem you'll own.
Execute the strategy. Once you build the plan and identify the processes, tools, and support needed, make it happen and use results to decide what to improve next. ← This is the 2nd problem you’ll own.
Build the team. Hire, develop, and coach the team you need to deliver results (e.g., SEO, content, design, link building, etc), and vendors where/if it makes sense.
Connect marketing to business outcomes. Plan OKRs with leadership, define success metrics, and track progress so everyone has a clear view of what it will take to see results.
Own our narrative. Shape Viva’s story, messaging, and positioning so the right buyers understand why Viva, why our services, and why now.
Drive cross-functional alignment. Work with both Co-CEOs and leaders across Sales, Customer Success, People, and RevOps to keep priorities aligned, keep HubSpot lead reporting accurate, and diagnose funnel issues together.
Who you are
You’re a hands-on marketing leader who has already solved this challenge elsewhere.
5+ years managing & leading marketing teams end to end, from defining the strategy to driving execution and results.
You’ve owned SEO end to end and scaled it from 1 to N, and built other channels such as events or paid ads from 0 to 1.
You’ve hired, coached, and developed marketing teams, and managed external vendors and agencies.
You’ve generated qualified pipeline for B2B companies with $100K+ ACV.
You’ve marketed to US executive buyers, ideally C-suite, VP, or Head-level, at tech companies from scale-ups to enterprise.
Executive-level English (C1+). You keep up in fast-paced conversations with executives, clearly explain your decisions and the reasoning behind them, and negotiate trade-offs and how plans move forward.
Why you’ll want this
This is a rare seat where you build the function instead of inheriting it. You'll own the number, the playbook, and the team, with a direct line to the founders and real autonomy over how Viva grows.
The work you’ll do will be pivotal to Viva’s growth, revenue, and team and will directly impact how we reach our mission of creating 1,000 meaningful career opportunities across Latin America.
